Overhaul of High School Plant Room
Scope of Work:
Removal of redundant boilers and installation of new cascade boilers, headers, plate heat exchangers and all associated pumps.

- The project was carried out during school holidays and was completed before the return of the pupils for the new school term.
- The plate heat exchanger was lifted by crane through the roof of the plant room and piped in welded steel.
- 6 Frame mounted boilers were installed in a cascade system complete with individual shunt pumps and new flue header and flue to roof level.
- The existing gas main did not comply to current legislation and was replaced with fully welded steel pipework with correct isolation valves, test and purge points.
- As part of the project all the system controls were updated and integrated with new equipment.
